Traveling with your Pet or Service Animal: Pet-friendly airline will accept domesticated cats, small dogs, rabbits, and birds in the Cabin of aircraft for a fee of ($60 Neighbor Islands), ($225 to/from North America), ($225 International one way); Cabin pets are permitted only on inter-island flights and flights leaving the State of Hawaii, (Exceptions are made for service animals only). To transport your cat or dog, (an original Neighbor Island Inspection Permit issued in the traveler's name) must be presented to an agent at check-in. Without it, Hawaiian Airlines may deny transport of your animal. Hawaiian Airlines will not accept animals in the passenger compartment of the aircraft for flights into the State of Hawaii. Pets are accepted as checked baggage for a fee of ($60 Neighbor Islands), ($225 International one way). For Cargo: $225-$1108, ($60-$167 Neighbor Islands) requirements and restrictions apply. Hawaiian Airlines will not accept snub-nosed dogs and cats as checked baggage. Animals will not be accepted for travel to/from Sydney, Australia. Live animals will not be accepted for travel to/from New York City (JFK) both in the passenger compartment and as checked baggage, except for qualified comfort/service animals. Fees and pet policies may be subject to change at any time.

Hawaiian Airlines welcomes service animals to accompany persons with a disability. Emotional support animals are considered to be a service animal but requires documentation. Service animals are allowed to accompany qualified individuals with a disability in any seat, and there is no charge for the transportation of service animals. Service animals are not required to be in a carrier. The only service animal permitted into Hawaii is a service dog with appropriate health documentation.

Carry-On Baggage: Passengers are allowed one carry-on in addition to one personal item (purse, briefcase, laptop, etc.) Hawaiian Airlines limits carry-on bag dimensions to (22" height, 14" length, 9" depth (45 linear inches), and a Weight Limit of (25 pounds / 11.5 kilograms) Assistive devices will be accepted as cabin baggage will not count towards baggage allowance.

Checked Baggage Fees for a Single Ticket Per Bag One Way: There is no weight limit for assistive devices, assistive devices will be accepted as checked baggage, and will not count towards your baggage allowance, and will be carried free of charge. All checked bags must not exceed (62" (157 cm) in overall dimensions (length + width + height) and cannot exceed (50 pounds (23 kg). Additional baggage fees solely within the United States: For 1st bag a $25 fee for Neighbor Islands and $25 fee for North America. For a 2nd bag a $35 fee for Neighbor Islands and $35 fee for North America. For 3 or more bags a $50 fee for Neighbor Islands and $100 fee for North America.

Overweight Baggage fees solely within the United States: Excess weight charges will be assessed in addition to per piece baggage charges if applicable. For travel wholly within the State of Hawaii: (51-70 pounds (23-32kg):$35 per bag, (71-100 pounds (32-45kg): $70 per bag. For travel between Hawaii and North America: (51-70 pounds (23-32kg): $50 per bag, (71-100 pounds (32-45kg): $200 per bag, and Items exceeding (100 pounds (45+kg) not are accepted.

Over-sized Baggage charges will be assessed in addition to per piece baggage charges and overweight baggage charges if applicable. For travel wholly within the State of Hawaii: Over-sized Baggage: (62-80 inches (157-206 linear cm): $35 per bag. Any baggage larger than (80 inches linear inches (206 linear cm) will not be accepted. For travel between Hawaii and North America: Over-sized Baggage: (62-80 inches (157-206 linear cm): $100 per bag. Any baggage larger than (80 inches linear inches (206 linear cm) will not be accepted. Deferent fees and polices apply to international checked baggage.

Military Baggage Exemptions: Qualified US military passengers must check in at Hawaiian Airlines airport ticket counters to benefit from baggage allowance. The airport kiosks and web check-in will only permit up to two (2) complimentary bags for military passengers traveling on Military fares.

Active duty US military passengers and military personnel who are retired or retiring, who have proof of official government travel orders, and their qualified dependents will be allowed four (4) checked complimentary bags per person for coach/first/business classes of service when traveling on orders on Hawaiian Airlines. All bags are limited to a maximum of 70 lbs. and 80 linear inches. Dependents do not need to be accompanied by active duty US military family member provided that orders are presented at the time of travel. Hawaiian Airlines agents should confirm that orders are current and up-to-date to qualify for complimentary baggage allowance.

When on personal travel, active duty US military personnel will only be allowed two (2) complimentary checked bags per person for coach/ first/business classes. Military personnel on personal travel are limited to a maximum of 50 lbs. and 62 linear inches without charge. The military bag fee waiver will not apply to US military dependents on personal travel. All US military personnel must present valid active duty military ID (subject to terms stated above) at the time of check-in to qualify for bag allowances. Baggage Fees and policies may be subject to change at any time.
